Marjorie Jean Mulder

Marjorie Jean Mulder, 93, of Oostburg, entered her Heavenly home on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center under the care of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. 

Marge was born to Walter and Edna (Bruggink) TenHaken on July 5, 1931. She graduated from Oostburg High School. On October 11, 1950, Marge was united in marriage to Norman Mulder. They enjoyed 72 years together before Norm’s passing in 2023.

Marge was an active member of Gibbsville Reformed Church–going on mission trips, active in their senior group, and volunteering where needed. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, golfing, playing cards, reading, and lending a helping hand. Marge volunteered for many years in the Pine Haven Christian Communities Corner Store. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and enjoyed canning. Marge was a housewife, always helping on the farm wherever she could. 

Marge is survived by her son, Roger (Patty) Mulder; sister, Carol (Roger) Prinsen of Cedar Grove; nieces and nephews, Lynn (Wayne) Olsen, Joan (Gary) Dunn, John (Julie) Ten Haken, Edward Paddeck, Mike (Natalie) Prinsen, Denise Prinsen, Scott (Susan) Prinsen, and Jackie (Brent) Voskuil, Jean Scroggins, Jim (Cyndi) Mulder, Joan (Dale) Hoffmann, Jane (Dan) Van Wyk. She is further survived by other relatives and dear friends. 

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; parents; brother, Kenneth (Mary) Ten Haken; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Audrey) Mulder; niece, Bonnie Paddeck; and nephew, Randy Prinsen.

A private funeral service will take place at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions can be made in Marge’s name to Pine Haven Christian Communities or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Marge’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Pine Haven for their care of Marge for over a year prior to her move to Rocky Knoll.
