Marjorie M. Ramaker, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.

Marjorie was born to Harvey and Adeline (Voskuil) Teumer on May 22, 1933 in Sheboygan. She grew up in Sheboygan, graduating from Sheboygan North High School in 1951. She studied at Sheboygan County Teachers College, and later went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from UW Milwaukee.

Marjorie began her teaching career in rural schools in the Oostburg and Cedar Grove area which she enjoyed very much. She later taught in the Sheboygan Area School District. During her over 20 years in education, Marjorie touched the lives of countless children. During her retirement, Marjorie was a member PEO, Chapter CJ in Sheboygan. 

Marjorie was united in marriage with Dudley “Sam” Ramaker on July 14, 1956 at Hope Reformed Church in Sheboygan. The couple shared 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.

Marjorie was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove, where she had been a deacon, taught Sunday school and bible class, and was a member of several women’s bible studies and fellowship groups. A talented musician, Marjorie participated in organ-piano duets, sang in and accompanied the choir, and played and directed the handbell choir. 

She loved traveling around the country and wintering in Florida for 26 years with Dudley. She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and cherished spending time with family.
 
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Todd) Ramaker Soerens of Naperville, IL and Paula (Jeff) Risseeuw of Cedar Grove; grandchildren, Alison (Nathan) Zimmermann, Mara (Zachary) Risseeuw Swanson, Danielle (Bradley) Dorner, Jacob (Erika) Soerens; great-grandchildren, Elliana, Kinsley and Josie Zimmermann, Eli Swanson, Lorelei and Nico Dorner; sister-in-law Mary Lou Teumer, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dudley “Sam”, her parents, siblings: Harvey (Joan) Teumer, Kenneth (Kathryn) Teumer, Roger Teumer and infant sister Delores, brother-in-law Roland (Miriam) Ramaker. 
 
A funeral service will be held at Wenig Funeral Home, 108 Center Ave. in Oostburg on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1:00PM. All are welcome to view a livestream of the service on Marjorie’s obituary page at www.wenigfh.com . She will be laid to rest beside Dudley at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00AM-1:00PM. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated Pine Haven Christian Home or The Rocky Knoll Foundation.
