Mary Jane Lammers, 70, of Hingham, passed away after a 24-year battle with ovarian cancer, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, surrounded by her family at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.Mary Ten Pas was born on December 6, 1947, in Sheboygan, to Erwin and Ruth (Daane) Ten Pas. She was a graduate of Oostburg High School in 1966.On August 12, 1967, Mary married Paul Lammers at First Christian Reformed Church in Oostburg. She worked as a home day care provider for over 30 years. Mary was a dedicated member of First Reformed Church of Oostburg. She was also a member of the quilting club, involved in many bible studies, the church choir and various music groups, and enjoyed leading children's choir at church. She enjoyed quilting, reading, shopping, gardening, Red Hatting, enjoyed chocolate and ice cream, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Above all, she cherished her relationship with her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful supporter and blessing to others battling cancer and loved to share the love of Christ with others.Mary is survived by her husband, Paul Lammers of Hingham; three daughters, Shara (Rob) Walvoort, Shauna (Joel) Ternes, and Jill (Jay) Van Ess, all of Oostburg; fourteen Grandchildren, Anthony, Reuben, Shana, Camber, Monet, and Lincoln Walvoort, Lance Hacker, Skylar, Ashley, and Pearl Ternes, Addison, Kyla, Jacob, and Tyler Van Ess; two brothers, Roy (Ruth) Ten Pas, Burt (Judy) Ten Pas; two brothers-in-law, Fred (Marlene) Luedtke, Donald Kranendonk MD; sister-in-law, Jackie (David) Stroffregen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Ruth Ten Pas; a sister, Patricia Ann Luedtke; parents-in-law, Earl & Eunice Lammers; and a sister-in-law, Donna Mae Kranendonk. A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 12:00 pm at First Reformed Church of Oostburg.Relatives and friends may greet the family at First Reformed Church of Oostburg in Oostburg on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
