Mary Morgan

July 20, 1940 — October 2, 2021

Random Lake

Mary Morgan, 81, of Random Lake, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 2, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center Grafton with the five sets of hands she created touching her softly, as she had touched them their entire lives. Her mind was sharp to the end, and she assured her family she was ready to be with Jesus. Her family feels blessed to have been able to call her their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor.

Mary was born July 20, 1940 in Sheboygan County, the daughter of William and Clara (nee Becker) Jacoby. She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1958. On August 27, 1960 she married Thomas Morgan at St. Mary Catholic Church in Random Lake. For over 30 years, Mary worked at Times Printing in Random Lake.

Mary was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake, where she had been with the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed baking, going on bus tours, time spent with her card and game groups, and being with her friends, many of whom she had relationships with most of her life. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, and was always proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All who knew her loved her sense of humor, and ability to laugh at herself, and will always remembered her warm, comforting smile.
Mary is survived by four daughters, Lori (Gerry) Gasper of Fort Atkinson, Lisa (Leon) Schneider of Adell, Lynn (Chris) Marver of Sheboygan, and Kim (Dave) Jandre of St. Cloud; one son, Kevin Morgan of Middleton; twelve grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole), Brenna (Alex), Myles (Marlee) Gasper, Adam (Becky) and Kyle (Samantha) Schneider, Paige (Chase) Eagan, Mackenzie and Jake Marver, Nicole and Megan Jandre; Jason and Abby Morgan; eight great grandchildren, Maya, Keagan, Amelia, Kennedy, Ramsey, Collins, Cameron and Amari; two brothers Donald (Lois) Jacoby of Thiensville and James Jacoby of Fredonia; sisters-in-law Gerry Jacoby of Fredonia and Julaine Morgan of Grafton; brother-in-law Hugh (Ruth) Morgan of Random Lake; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Thomas,  brother Roland Jacoby, sisters Carol (Donald “Bud”) Schuessler and Doris (James) Friend.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Mary’s life will take place at 6:00PM on Monday, October 11 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Random Lake with Fr. Bob Stiefvater officiating. Masks and social distancing are appreciated, but not required. All are welcome to join a livestream of the service at wenig.live/MaryMorgan . Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Random Lake beside Thomas. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 4:00PM until the time of Mass at 6:00PM.

A memorial fund is being established in her memory for Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Parish.

The family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Medical Center in Grafton for their compassionate care, as well as Mary’s nieces and nephews whom she had a very special relationship with.
