Mary Ann Prinsen, 91, departed this life to be with the Lord on July 26, 2026 at Pine Haven Oostburg Campus. She was born on August 31, 1934 to the late James and Adrianna (Jennie VanDeRepe) Dekker in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Mary Ann graduated from Sheboygan Christian Grade School and Sheboygan North High School. On October 7, 1953, she married Warren Prinsen. They were blessed with 59 years of happy marriage. Warren preceded Mary Ann in death on June 17, 2013. Together they raised four children.
Mary Ann was employed at Security Bank in Sheboygan early in their marriage. After moving to Cedar Grove, she was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed working part time at the Cedar Grove Corner Store and Piggly Wiggly. She loved crocheting and happily made afghans for each of her 28 great grandchildren.
As a member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Mary Ann belonged to Calvary Bible League and served for many years as a Sunday school teacher. She lived a life of thankfulness to God with a gracious spirit. Mary Ann was a woman of wisdom and faith and will be dearly missed
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Debra (Thomas) Huenink, son, Dennis (Gail) Prinsen, daughter, Diane (Dean) Ratajczak, and daughter, Doris (Michael) DeHaai. She is further survived by 11 grandchildren, Abby (Larry) Bousley, Kate (Jim) Schmitz, Bradley (Karen) Huenink, Andy (Courtney) Prinsen, Emily (Brian) Roberts, Paul Ratajczak, Jake (Kate) Ratajczak, Steve (Jackie) Ratajczak, David (Amanda) DeHaai, Peter (JoEllen) DeHaai, Alex (Lauren) DeHaai, and 28 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, her siblings and their spouses, Kathryn and Henry Otte, Jane and Ben Boerkel, Peter and Lillian Dekker, Lillian and Robert Walvoort, and her brother-in-law, Ronald Prinsen.
Funeral service for Mary Ann will be held on Saturday, August 1, at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church (136 Union Avenue, Cedar Grove) at 3:00pm. Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Mary Ann's name for Oostburg Christian School or Pine Haven Christian Communities.
