Mary Ann Trgovec

Mary Ann Trgovec, age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at her home in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin with her loving family at her side. She was born on December 20, 1940, to the late Alvin and Alma Nellie (Meeusen) Prinsen.

Mary Ann attended South Cedar Grove as a child and graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1958.

On June 30, 1984, Mary Ann was united in marriage to her loving husband, Steve G. Trgovec, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls. Together, they shared a deep love for music and entertainment, running a local DJ service where Steve was affectionately known as “Steve the Music Man.”

Mary Ann was a true outdoorswoman with a fierce and adventurous spirit. She loved to hunt deer and bear across North America with her son, a passion she actively pursued well into her life until the age of 79. At home, she found joy tending to her beautiful property. She was an avid gardener, nurtured several beautiful fruit and nut tree orchards, loved spending time feeding the fish in her pond and spending time with her family. A master of self-reliance, Mary Ann could can everything from "A to Z," and in her earlier years, she and Steve spent cherished time making homemade wine from the fruit and flowers grown right on their land.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Steve; one brother, Larry Prinsen; and her granddaughter, Cali Weber.

Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Douglas) Heinecke and Lu Ann (Phillip) Medinger; her son, Richard Trgovec; seven grandchildren: Stephanie (Andrew) Huenink, Samantha Heinecke, Jennifer (Cory) Bonsante, April Weber-Stapelkamp and her husband Kevin Stapelkamp, Kristin (Tim) Peaine, Daniel Weber, and Breanne (John) Carr; and 17 cherished great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her special longtime friend, Jane Ten Haken, and her German Shepherd canine protector, Sergeant.

Services will be held privately. A memorial fund has been established in Mary Ann’s name.
