Michael D. Meyer

Michael D. Meyer, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by his family. He was 69 years old.

Michael was born July 25, 1953 in Portage, the son of Gayland and Margaret (Butzlaff) Meyer. He graduated from Tomah High School in 1971, and went on to study at UW Stout. For over 40 years, he worked at Vollrath in Sheboygan, retiring in 2020 as Operations Supervisor.

Michael enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, hunting and spending time at the lake. He will be remembered as a generous, sharp and witty person.

Michael is survived by his sons David (Kelly) Meyer and Casey Meyer, both of Sheboygan; 5 grandchildren: Brianna, Jocelyn, Blake, Charlie and Theodore Meyer; sisters Sue (Howard) Hawley and Joanne Meyer; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Gayle McConochie.

According to Michael’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held.
