She spent 25 years working for the SASD in many facets including the Head Start program within the district building, Jefferson and Longfellow Elementary Schools, and both North and South High Schools, before retiring in 2004.

Faith was an important part of Dollie’s life. She was a mentor for Confirmation students, enjoyed being involved in church circles, providing community meals, and in the quilting group. As a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for 55 years, she sang in the Senior Choir while directing the Children’s Choir. In addition, Dollie is a former member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Stanley, WI, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choirs there, too.

Dollie was extremely proud of her Norwegian heritage, and was a charter member of the Sons of Norway Club where she served as President for 3 years and participated in the annual Lutefisk dinner for over 20 years.

Dollie is survived by her sons: Eric (Clair) Waters of Spruce Head, ME, and Stuart, FL, Paul (Doreen) Waters of Lakewood, CO, and Jamie (Katie) Dickrell of Manitowoc; grandchildren Kasie (Dylan) Waters, Kyle Waters, Courtney Waters, Emily Waters, and Braden and Benson Dickrell; sister-in-law Ruth Reppe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Rev. John Reppe, Janet Benson, Rev. Paul Reppe, James Reppe and Robert Reppe; and former husbands, Elwood Waters and David Dickrell.
