Patricia “Pat” Eleanor (Pool) Kelm danced into the arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on June 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in Sheboygan, WI. She was 90 years old.
Pat was born on December 9, 1934 to Gerald & Ethel (Estabrooks) Pool in Sheboygan Falls. She married the man of her dreams, Robert “Bob” Kelm on October 26th, 1957. Together Bob and Pat had 6 beautiful children (as she would put it) and is survived by them all: Mike (Barb) Kelm of Arpin, WI, Brian (Dawn) Kelm of Cleveland, WI, Pam (Shane) Bennin of Sheboygan Falls, WI, Karen (Randy) Bruggink of Carrollton, TX, Brenda (John) Weber of Sheboygan, WI, Dan (Cindy) Kelm of Sheboygan, WI. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeff (Eileen) Kelm, August (Nicole) Kelm, Cristina (Kevin) Phillips, Zac (Nicki) Hinz, Jeremy (Stephanie) Kelm, Anthony Kelm, Brianna (Andrew) Schroeder, Mackenzie (Alex) Fandre, Tiffany (Keith) Harden, Haley Bruggink, Amanda (Paul) Weber- David, Josh (Maddison) Weber, Matthew (Jane) Weber, Emma (Noah) Kohlmann, Elizabeth (Grant) Genke, Miranda (Paul Allee) Kelm, Alisha Kelm, two brothers, Richard and George Pool, sister-in-law Sue Pool, 18 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Gerald and Ethel Pool, brothers James Pool and Edward (Rosa) Pool and sister-in-law Eleanor Pool.
Pat was a school teacher in her early years. She and Bob were also renovators and builders, renovating their first home where they raised their children, then designing and building their dream retirement home on Pence Lake, and lastly renovating the Kelm family farm just outside of Montello, where she so graciously moved, bringing it full circle to becoming a Wisconsin Century Farm.
She ventured into the world of Square Dance calling & teaching in the early 70’s bringing as many of her children possible into the world of Square Dancing. She was well known and loved for her ability to teach anyone how to Square Dance. Pat was inducted into the Square Dance Hall of Fame in August of 2007 at the Wisconsin State Square Dance Convention. She held many positions on the State & National Square Dance Convention Boards over many years. Over her 50+ years of calling, Pat leaves a legacy of her deep love for dancing as she encouraged, and taught thousands Square Dancing, Round Dancing, Contra, and even some Folk Dancing.
She was a faithful member of various churches in each community that they resided.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Zion Covenant Church in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 2:00-4:00PM. She will be laid to rest beside Bob at Moundville Methodist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Pat’s many interests.
The family is very thankful for the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
