Patricia Reitz

Patricia Clara Reitz (nee Schaeve), 87, of Plymouth, WI, much beloved mother and grandmother, went Home to the loving arms of God on April 16, 2024, as the Sun shone through the clouds.

Patricia was born on December 3, 1936, to the late Arthur and Louise Flitcroft Schaeve.  She graduated from Fond du Lac Goodrich High School in 1955.

Pat married George Reitz on September 8, 1962, and spent many happy years at their home outside of Sheboygan Falls. After moving to Plymouth, her garage was a meeting place for others and she always enjoyed catching up with people and putting together puzzles outside.

She recently moved to Wauwatosa and met so many kind, new people. She was a beloved friend, neighbor, and community member.

Pat took pride in her work, enjoying her time at Kieckhafer’s, Citizen’s Bank, Heritage Insurance, and Motion Industries. She volunteered at the school library and at the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center.

Pat was a faithful member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school, served as secretary and treasurer, printed all of the bulletins, sang in the choir, and was a dedicated member of the Ladies’ Aid.

She loved playing Sheepshead and Yahtzee and watching old movies and the Hallmark Channel.

Patricia loved God and her family, and she was so proud of all of her children as they “turned out so well, with God’s help”.

She is survived by her children: Ron Reitz, Oak Creek; Deanna (Ted) Wilinski, Wauwatosa; Greg (Theresa) Reitz, Silver Lake; Brenda (Mitch) Brasch, Sussex; and John (Kristi) Reitz, Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren Krista (Jack) Duburg, Tyler (Jessica) Reitz, Holly and Maddie Wilinski, Noelle and Thomas Brasch, Melissa Miller and Miranda (Dennis) Thompson; great-grandchildren Branch and Cheyenne Duburg, Bailey Reitz, Nathan Foster, Kaden Greco, Jetta Brantley, Freyja and Eowyn Thompson.  Pat is also survived by her brother, Butch Schaeve, and sisters-in-law, Janet Jaeger and Jan Schaeve.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, sister Ginna Putz and brother Jim Schaeve, daughter-in-law Carolyn Reitz, great-grandchildren Marci Mae Duburg and Madison Reitz.

Visitation will take place at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls on Saturday, April 20th, from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 11:30 am. Patricia will be laid to rest by her husband at Forest Cemetery in Fond du Lac county.
