Randall Hendrikse

Randall “Randy” D. Hendrikse, 73, of Sheboygan, entered into glory to be with his Lord and Savior with his family by his side on May 20, 2023 at Sheboygan Aurora Medical Center.

Randy was born to John & Jeanette (VanHouten) Hendrikse in Sheboygan on October 12, 1949. On August 22, 1970, Randy married Kate Fieldhouse in Prospect Park, N.J.

He attended Calvin College and Davenport Business School, earning his Bachelor of Business. Throughout his life Randy had several different careers, ranging from software sales, consulting, to kitchen and bath design work while owning different businesses. One of his most memorable retirement jobs was working as a taxi cab driver, where he would connect with people and brighten up their day with his warmth and genuine kindness.

Undoubtedly, Randy's greatest joy was his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He and his wife Kate opened their home to anyone who was in need of love and support. This selflessness extended beyond those related by blood, as countless people knew him as "dad" for the caring and fatherly guidance he provided throughout the years.

Randy was an active member of Christ Community Church in Sheboygan where he and his wife Kate served as youth leaders with enthusiasm and passion for almost 2 decades. Additionally, he served as an Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, on various committees, and as the Old Time Religion Broadcaster.

Randy enjoyed spending time outdoors with loved ones. Some of his favorite memories were fishing with sons and grandsons in Sylvania, spending time down by the river or working with his hands on woodworking projects.

To know Randy was to love him. He would seek out anyone who needed an ear or someone to confide in due to his desire to make a positive impact on others' lives. His life embodied generosity and graciousness, but above all, love.  His love for his Savior was genuine and his goal was to have a positive impact on everyone he came in contact with.  The ripple effect of his life will continue on until Jesus comes again. His heart for discipleship and his tenacious faith

has undoubtedly touched thousands.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kate Hendrikse of Sheboygan; son, Chris (Kim) Hendrikse of Sheboygan, and their children, Noah (Fiancé, Adrian Lucas), Emma (Kevin) Zaragoza, Sam, and Caleb; son, T.J. (Laura) Hendrikse of Sheboygan, and their children, Zach, Tanner (Alicia), Justin (Fiance, Avery Phillips), Maddie, Xzairah, and Jaimichael; daughter, Liesa (Jake) Blattner of Sheboygan, and their children, Keeran, Donovan, and Declan; great grandchildren, Easton and Kohenn Hendrikse; sister-in-law, Ann Fieldhouse; brothers-in-law, James Fieldhouse, George (Josephine) Fieldhouse, Ron (Laura) Fieldhouse,

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Joyce Fieldhouse.

A memorial service to honor Randy's life will take place on Thursday, July 27, at Christ Community Church of Sheboygan at 6:00 pm. Visitation will take place at church from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name.

When asked how he was doing, Randy would always respond with an enthusiastic “Blessed and highly favored!”. He is now experiencing this blessing even more profoundly as his faith has been made sight.
