Sheboygan Falls

Richard Schlicht, 77, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away peacefully in his home, Tuesday, June 15, 2021, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Rich was born November 22, 1943, the son of Herman and Margaret (nee Strittmater) Schlicht in LaCrosse, WI. He graduated from LaCrosse Central High School. Rich was employed by Richardson Brothers for many years before going to Hankscraft AJS where he eventually retired from.

He was an avid hunter, fisher and Nascar fan. He spent many years racing stock cars and enduro. As a successful fisherman, he truly enjoyed out fishing all his neighbors at his camper on Little Green Lake. Even on his most recent hunting excursion at 77, he scored his last deer. Rich also loved to play the game Ante with his granddaughter, Maggie. He will be remembered as a legend of good times.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan, daughters Angela (Cameron) Tse of North Bend, WA and Nicki (Daniel) Martin of DePere and son Dennis of Oshkosh. He is further survived by grandchildren: Devin, Desmond, Dayton, Drake, Samantha, Erin, Maggie, Cydney, Presley and Penelope; great-grandchildren Willow, Mia and Sophia; brother Paul Schlicht of Rochester, MN; sisters-in-law Cathy (Greg) Herman and Lori (Bruce) McFarlane; brother-in-law Troy (Ginny) Pappas; many nieces and nephews, his two fluffy kitties Harley and Bailey, other relatives and friends.

Rich is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Margaret, daughter Jennifer Ninmer, sisters-in-law Claudia Pappas and Judy Schlicht, nephews Kevin Pappas, mother- and father-in-law Phyllis and Nicholas Heyson, and his favorite cat in the world, Frisky.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

The family would like to thank Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Dr. Najmus Liang and Chaplain Darren Beachy for their compassionate and supportive care.
