Robert George Kellner, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with his family by his side.

He was born on November 19, 1931, to the late George and Charlotte (Kubel) Kellner. Robert graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1950. On January 26, 1957, he was united in marriage to Frances Raml at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan.

Robert served in the US Air Force from 1951 – 1955, with 3 of the years spent in Europe. He previously worked at Bemis Manufacturing in Sheboygan Falls and retired from Kohler Company after 26 years in 1994.

In his younger years, Robert was very active in archery, fishing, bowhunting, woodworking, gardening, mini vacations, and many card clubs. He was an active member of the Sheboygan Falls YMCA and a daily walker. Robert took great pride in his home and yard and was also proud of his three grandchildren, seeing as many of their events as he could.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Francie; daughter, Cathryn (Bill) Kliebenstein of Mazomanie; son, James (Mary) Kellner of Sheboygan; 3 grandchildren, TJ (Claire) Kellner, Kirsten (friend Will) Kliebenstein, and Trevor (Jessica) Kliebenstein; and two great-grandchildren, Rory and Peyton Kellner. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, Ray Skelton; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Herbert; brother, William Kellner; 5 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, 2 nephews, and a niece.

A private family service will be held at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls at a later date.

Entombment will take place at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum with military rites.

Memorials can be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Robert’s name.
