Rogene L. Bruckner, Kohler, passed away Wednesday morning, October 23, 2024 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was 79 years old.
Rogene was born August 31, 1945 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Marvin and Esther (Jankow) Gosse. She grew up in Kohler, graduating from Kohler High School in 1963.
On April 29, 1967, she was united in marriage with Kenneth N. Bruckner at Bethany Church in Kohler.
Rogene worked as a payroll clerk at Kohler for 37 years, where she was a proud member of the Quarter Century Club.
Rogene was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and a former member of Our Redeemer where she sang in the choir. Rogene and Kenneth were longtime members of the Sheboygan Elks Lodge #299, through which they enjoyed traveling throughout the country, meetings, dinners and countless friendships
Rogene adored cardinals, and enjoyed bowling, reading, doing puzzles, and playing sheepshead. She looked forward to gathering around a campfire with her friends while camping at Plymouth Rock and Paradise Valley for nearly 40 years. No matter where she went and who she was with, Rogene loved to laugh and have fun. Her family lovingly teased her, including gifting her with countless nicknames like Fruitloops and not letting her forget her failed pumpkin bars. Above all, Rogene cherished her family and friends, including her grandpuppies.
Rogene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth; sons Keith (Lynn) Bruckner and David (Jill) Bruckner; grandchildren Nicholas (Lynnea) Bruckner, Kyleen Bruckner (special friend Jordan Brethouwer), Josh Bruckner and Justin Bruckner; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law Ralph and Rosella Bruckner, infant son Kevin, and brothers Roger and Robert Gosse.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM noon on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hwy PPP in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday from 9:30AM until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wisconsin Elks Benevolent Fund or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bettag, as well as the staffs at St. Nicholas Hospital and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their compassionate and supportive care.
