Roger Lee Walvoord, 72, of Cedar Grove, was called to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Cedar Grove Gardens.
Roger was born on January 24, 1953, to Lloyd and Marion (Meerdink) Walvoord in Sheboygan. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1971. Roger worked on the family farm, helped out at Walvoord Berry Farm, and worked at Kohler Company for over 20 years.
Roger was a member of First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove and enjoyed being a part of Bible Studies at Cedar Grove Gardens. His love for his Lord and Savior was very important to him and he carried out his faith all through his life. In his younger years, he enjoyed Campus Life activities, 4-H, and the Sheboygan County Fair. Roger enjoyed being out in nature, working on the land and caring for the farm animals. He loved playing Bingo at Cedar Grove Gardens, getting together with family, and playing cards, especially Rook and Sheepshead. Roger enjoyed listening to music and watching game shows.
He is survived by his siblings: Barbara (Wayne) Claerbout of Oostburg, Kenneth (Jeanne) Walvoord of Manitowoc, Donna (Jerry) Schneider of Hartford, Gary (Robyn) Walvoord of Kansasville, Randall (Linda) Walvoord of Oostburg, Mary (Jim) Roethel of Oostburg. He is further survived by his aunts, Doris Carlson and Sharon Meerdink; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jean Steinhardt, nephew, Shawn Walvoord, aunts: Dorothy (Wallace) TenPas, Evelyn (Howard) LeMahieu; and uncles: LaMont (Arlene) Daane, Earl (Nelda) Walvoord, Ken Carlson, A. Glenn Meerdink.
A funeral service will be held for Roger at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00. He will be laid to rest at Oostburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at church on Monday, October 13, from 5:00-7:00pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service.
