Ronald Jensema

Ronald Lee Jensema, 87, of Oostburg, went to be with his Savior on February 9, 2021, at Cedar Grove Gardens. Ronald was born on March 7, 1933 in Town of Lima, to Bernard Jensema and Sylvia (nee Schreurs) Jensema. He was a 1951 graduate of Oostburg High School. After high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army for two years. On April 18, 1958, Ronald married Marianne (Meerdink) at Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oostburg. Ronald was a hardworking man who took tremendous care of his family and worked at Bolens for many years before retiring from Pemco in 1998. Ronald was an active member of Bethel Orthodox Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed his dedicated involvement singing with Men's Chorus, Men of Harmony, Pine Haven Men's Chorus and a men's quartet at church. He also enjoyed woodworking, bowling, yardwork, and spending time with his beloved family and friends. Ronald is survived by his wife, Marianne of Oostburg; two sons: David (Linda) Jensema and Randall (Lynn) Jensema, both of Oostburg; two daughters: Sally Jensema of Oostburg and Linda (Brian) Ongna of Sheboygan Falls. He is further survived by eight grandchildren: Nathan (Orpah) Jensema, Kelley (Aaron) Bemis, Ryan (Samantha) Jensema, Eric (Natalie) Jensema, Zachary (Sarah) Jensema, Jeremy (Amy) Jensema, Nicole Ongna, Jennifer (Noah) Johnson; great-grandchildren: Judah, Corban, Ezra, Issac, Joshua, Lydia, Ethan, Ellie, Nora, Madelyn, Daxton, Amelia, Jaethan, Alexander, Braylee, Cole and 3 on the way; sister Sharon (Larry) Martin; brother Neil (Judy) Jensema; sisters-in-law Linda Jensema and Audrey (Howard) Voskuil; brothers-in-law Bob (Pat) Meerdink, Jim (Dawn) Meerdink, Phil (Donna) Meerdink; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Sylvia Jensema, parents-in-laws Art and Nan Meerdink, sisters Marilyn (Earl) Stokdyk and Alvera (Bill) Nitsch, and brother Duane Jensema. A visitation will be held at Wenig Funeral Home - Oostburg on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 5:00-6:30PM. A private family service will follow.
