Sharon D. Scroggins, age 86, left this earth on Tuesday, October 13th, 2026, at home in Sheboygan Falls, surrounded by her family.
Sharon Emley was born in 1940, in Plymouth, Wisconsin to Gerald and Elvira (Hintz) Emley. She grew up on Jackson Street in Sheboygan Falls and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School. After high school, she attended the Milwaukee College of Beauty Culture in Downtown Milwaukee. On August 29, 1959, she married the love of her life, Charles Scroggins, in Sheboygan Falls.
Family was at the center of Sharon’s heart. She delighted in baking special treats, hosting family dinners, exploring quiet countrysides, collecting glassware, and creating beautiful pieces of art. She loved being a mother but especially loved her time as a grandmother and great grandmother. For many years, breakfast with her grandson on school mornings was a cherished ritual. And this tradition continued with her great granddaughter.
Her home garden was another expression of her creativity and care. Immaculate and thoughtfully designed, it rivaled the charm of English gardens. Each year she planned the layout with intention, selected the plants with an artist’s eye, and created inviting outdoor spaces that welcomed all who visited. Her designs changed slightly from year to year, offering new colors, patterns, and beauty.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Dana (Bruce) Burton; Jill (Scott) Weisz; three grandchildren, Fallon (Dave) Phillip, Brandon Sippel, and Andrew Weisz; and great grandchild Ava; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald W. and Faye Emley. And many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Elvira Emley; brother Rodney W. Emley; and in-laws Robert (Dorothy) Scroggins, Richard (Shirley) Scroggins, Bill (Audrey) Scroggins, and Donald (Gloria) Scroggins.
Sharon’s family would like to thank – Susan S. Richardson Community Hospice Service in Sheboygan Falls for the love and kindness for her needs and that of her family.
