Stella L. (nee Ter Maat) Miller, 76, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.

Stella was born December 23, 1945, to Harry and Golde Bell Ter Maat in Sheboygan Falls. On September 9, 1967, she married Gerald K. Miller of Sheboygan.

She worked at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home, as Business Office Manager of Morningside Health Center in Sheboygan. Stella previously served as Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent at Salem Plankroad UCC. She was a member of Our Shepherd UCC in Howards Grove, where she served on the church council, was superintendent of the Sunday School, and church secretary. Stella enjoyed her time volunteering at the Sheboygan Falls Food Pantry and served as secretary for many years; the Weill Center, Sheboygan A’s, and Be a Match Bone Marrow Drive.

Stella enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Stella and Jerry enjoyed many wonderful trips together. She was blessed to connect with Richard Oehldrich and continue her joy of life and the joy of travel.

Stella was so blessed and thankful for the young lady from Germany, who donated Bone Marrow so she could have life and to Ken Barbian, who donated platelets in her name for which she was so very grateful.

To Stella’s caregivers, Jessica and Michael, Anthony and Tracy, Marvin and Mary, Glenn and Carmen, Larry and Debbie, Dennis and Nancy, Jim and Connie Schmitt, and Rev. Peggy Feyen. Without their support and care, the transplant would not have happened.

Stella is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Michael) Wieck and son, Anthony (Tracy) Miller; two wonderful grandchildren, whom she loved and went on many vacations with when they were young and ate lots of ice cream, Stephanie (Todd) Nelson and Cody (Clare) Wieck; great-granddaughters, Amelia Nelson, Ella Nelson, and Parker Wieck. She is further survived by one sister, Nancy (Dennis) Justinger; brothers, Marvin (Mary) Ter Maat, Larry (Deborah) Ter Maat, and Glenn (Carmen) Ter Maat; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Pat) Miller; sisters-in-law, Karen Stueffen, and June Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; parents; parents-in-law, Harold (Arline) Miller; brothers-in-law, Steve Miller and Jack Stueffen.

Funeral services will be held at Our Shepherd UCC in Howards Grove on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 11:15pm with Pastor Nathan Athorp officiating. Burial will be at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 9:00am until 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated in Stella’s name for the Leukemia Research Foundation.
