Suzan Leynse

March 8, 1924 — October 4, 2018

Suzan Leynse departed this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Terrace Estates in Sheboygan.Suzan was born on March 8, 1924, the daughter of Bert and Mary Leynse and in her early years lived in rural Waldo, WI. She enjoyed her work as teacher in various places, the longest at Sheboygan Christian School. After retirement, she found pleasure in volunteer work. She spent three years teaching in Papua New Guinea and upon her return continued with volunteer work at Aurora Medical Center and the Good as New Thrift Shop. Suzan was an active member of Hope Reformed Church participating in the women's work, choir, and Sunday School.Suzan is survived by her eight nieces and nephews who were very dear to her; Mary (Paul) DeMaster, Ruth (Jeff) Hargreaves, Lois Leynse, Carol (James) Harpold, Joann (Craig) DuMez, Kenneth (Cindy) Leynse, and Gail (Mike) Earley. Suzan was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Leynse and John (Helen) Leynse; and a nephew, Wayne Leynse. A service to celebrate Suzan's life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Hope Church, 612 Ontario Ave. in Sheboygan, with Rev. Bill Te Winkle officiating. Friends and family may gather for a time of visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. A private burial will be held at Hingham Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established in her name for Sheboygan Christian School, Hope Church, and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
