Sylvia M. Thurber, 67, entered eternal life on Wednesday evening, February 14, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Sylvia was born May 10, 1950, to Charles R. and Rosemarie (Lusher) Thurber. The family resided in West Allis, until moving to Plymouth, where she attended school, graduating from Plymouth High School in 1968.Sylvia was a dedicated employee of Spiller Spring Co. in Sheboygan from 1968 until her retirement in 2012. On August 5, 1993, she reunited with her true love, Jeffrey Bradford, with whom she spent the remainder of her life, open to each adventure as it came their way. Sylvia was a lovely free spirit, independent, with a generous heart, and dedicated to her loved ones. She met every challenge presented to her with great courage. Her true passions were spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, traveling, and completing home improvement projects. Sylvia is survived by her "family", companion and closest friend Jeffrey Bradford, dearest friend Barbra Jo Phillips Herman, "daughter" Lisa Bradford, "sister and brother-in-law" Kay and Lupe Rodriquez, and "grandson" Elijah Walton. She is further survived by her brother Charles (Linda) Thurber, nephews Steven Thurber and Kyle Thurber, cousin Frank Marchant, along with other distant family members, and many good friends she had made during her life. She was preceded in death by her father Charles, her mother Rosemarie (John) Williams, and other family members and friends. Sylvia will remain in our hearts forever.Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and the entire staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center ICU for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Sylvia during her final journey, and for assisting her with her final wish "to take her beloved dog Marji for a walk".At Sylvia's request, a cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. A private memorial service will be held to honor her. Wenig Funeral Homes is assisting the family. Memorials in her name may be made directly to the Church, Charity or Cause of your choice."Promises are forever, and that is what we are doing." "Please do not grieve for me, my life was blessed."
