Willard Gene Morauski, 91, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Bill was born on July 21, 1931, to Joseph and Esther (Clausing) Morauski in Au Sable, Michigan. On May 16, 1953, he was united in marriage to Janice M. Stieg in Port Washington.

Bill retired from Kohler Company in 1994. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lakeland University. Bill served in the US Air Force from 1949 to 1953, during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska as a radio operator. Afterward, he served in the Army Reserves until 1957.

He gained a lifelong love of planes and flying during his youth while flying with his brother, Bob. Bill took his children and grandchildren to the Experimental Aircraft Association Convention in Oshkosh regularly and shared his love of aviation. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge and worshipful Master for many years.

Bill is survived by his children, Gene (Yvonne) Morauski of DeSoto, WI, Susan (Steven) Reiter of Sheboygan, Karen Morauski (husband Kyle Karstaedt) of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Nathan (Allison) Reiter, Kyle (Annelise) Reiter, Derek (Nicole) Reiter; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ava, Edison, Pierce, Alayna, Abram, Amelia, and Arlo Willard. He is further survived by his sisters, Marjorie King, Carol (Norman) Philipps; brother-in-law, Edward Friede; sister-in-law, Lois Morauski; many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents, Joseph and Esther Morauski; siblings, Robert, Donald, Marilyn, and Dorothy.

A gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Bill loved wearing colorful clothing and the family suggests you celebrate his life wearing colorful clothes.

Full military honors will take place at the funeral home at 1:30pm. Bill will be buried alongside his wife at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.

The family extends their gratitude to all of his caregivers at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Aurora Medical Center – Grafton Cardiac Unit, and Pine Haven Christian Communities.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Lakeland University, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Foundation in Oshkosh.
