Gregory A. Brown, of Cascade, passed away Tuesday morning, October 5, 2021 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was 59 years old.
Greg was born May 23, 1962 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Larry and Sherry (nee Fordham) Brown. He graduated from Bay View High School in 1980 and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy Sea Bees from 1980-1986, and the Reserves until 1989.
Greg worked as a maintenance mechanic, most recently at Construction Forms Inc. in Port Washington, WI for the last 7 years and 3 months. Previously, he had worked at various jobs as a maintenance mechanic, truck driver, and diesel and motorcycle mechanic. He was a hard-working man who took pride in his work, no matter the job, and he was looked up to and respected by many.
A proud Harley Davidson owner, Greg loved riding his Harley and participating in ABATE of WI rides. He enjoyed being the “aggressor” during ROM testing at the Waukesha Fair Grounds, put on by the Doberman Club which his mother was the President of. He also enjoyed shooting pool, playing darts, hunting, trapshooting, and above all spending time with his family and friends. Through his hobbies and spending time with him, you would know he’s a character and had a personality of his own. He joked around a lot but when he had to be serious, he was.
Greg is survived by his children: Josh Brown (girlfriend Ethel) of Sheboygan, WI and Shawna (Ethan) Debbink of Cedar Grove, WI and his grandchildren: Gabriel, Jaxon and Mason Brown and Jeremiah and Isaiah Debbink. He is further survived by his significant other Laura Fabian of Plymouth, WI, mother Sherry Butterfield (nee Fordham, Brown) of Fifield, WI, step-mother Amy Brown of Genesee Depot, WI, sister Tracey Johnson of Largo, FL, half-brother Adam (Becky) Brown of Watertown, WI, several nephews and nieces, former wives Crystal Wendler and Ann Wagner, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Larry Brown, step-father Joe Butterfield and Uncle Gary Fordham.
