Sheboygan Falls

Marilyn J. Braun, of Sheboygan Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Frankie on May 24, 2021, at the age of 90.

Marilyn was born September 12, 1930 in Sheboygan, WI the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (Haartman) Van Stelle.

She attended Sheboygan Christian Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School.  On March, 10 1948 she was united in marriage to Frank Braun.  He preceded her in death on July 25, 1976.

She was currently a member of First Reformed Church of Sheboygan Falls.

Marilyn worked as a nurses aide at St. Nicholas hospital for many years, later retiring from the Kohler Company where she was known as "Ma Braun".

She enjoyed volunteering at the Pine Haven hymn sings and visiting with family and friends.  She kept her mind sharp by doing crossword and word search puzzles and reading.  She liked to take leisure rides to Lake Michigan to relax and enjoy the view.

Marilyn is survived by her three daughters; Betty (Sheila Krueger) Braun of Brookfield, WI, Linda (late Don) Fickett of Sheboygan, Debbie (Bob) Hoerres of Oostburg; one son, Mike (Kay) Braun of Sheboygan Falls; grandchildren, Shelly (Dave) Swift, Kristy (Caleb) Hall, Rachel (Matt) Walter, Brendan Braun, Karly (Bob) Hayon, Kim Schmidt and Dustin (Mary) Fickett; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Brody, Edison, Franklin, Lauren, Will, Luke and Drew; step great-grandchild, Jaymz; sister, Donna (Spike) Smies of Oostburg; and sister-in-law, Ginny Van Stelle of Denver.  Marilyn is further survived by nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, brother Rich and son-in-law Don.

A private family service and burial was held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Brad Veenendaal.

Memorial contributions can be made in Marilyn's name for First Reformed Church, Pine Haven Christian Nursing Home and Sharon Richardson Hospice.

Precious Lord take my hand, lead me on, let me stand.  I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.  Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light.  Take my hand precious Lord and lead me home.
