Mark TeGrotenhuis

Mark H. TeGrotenhuis, 66, of Oostburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Mark was born on October 29, 1954 to Wayne and Marian (Smies) TeGrotenhuis. He attended Cedar Grove High School, where he graduated in 1972. He was united in marriage to Pam Brill on November 2, 1974 at First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg.

Mark was employed at Ferrellgas as a service technician for 29 years. For the last 16 years, he worked for the Oostburg School District, where he made many cherished friendships. Mark was well known for his ability to fix anything and was frequently sought out for his expertise.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as trustee for many years. Mark enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially trips to Door County. He loved naps and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam; children, Aaron (Danielle Sturm) TeGrotenhuis of Oostburg, Jill (Chris) Suess of New Berlin; six grandchildren, Sam, Lucy, and Molly TeGrotenhuis, Greta, Ruby, and Joshua Suess. He is further survived by his brothers, David (Pam) TeGrotenhuis and John (Barb) TeGrotenhuis; sister, Carol (Gary) Hesselink; brother-in-law, John Brill; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Tom) Soerens; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Jonathan and Delores Brill.

A memorial service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3:00pm. Family and friends may greet the family from 12:30 until the time of service at 3:00 pm. All are welcome to join at church or via livestream by visiting wenig.live/MarkTeGrotenhuis . Private burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials are appreciated to Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund and Children’s Hospital.
