Marvin Debbink

June 9, 1934 — August 11, 2022

Sheboygan Falls

Marvin Donald Debbink, 88, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away August 11th with his family by his side at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan.

On June 9, 1934, Marvin was born to Ernest & Nellie (Hesselink) Debbink in the town of Sheboygan Falls and was a 1952 graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School. On June 5, 1954, he married the love of his life, MaryAnn Catherine Wyckoff in Sheboygan Falls.

Marvin had a long and meaningful career with Richardson Lumber Company for over 50 years. He began his career as a truck driver, progressed to a management role and concluded his career serving as President of Richardson Industries. He was honored to also serve on the Advisory Board of Truswal Systems.

A strong sense of service to his community lead to over 10 years of involvement on the board of the Sheboygan Falls School District, and to various leadership committees at Faith United Methodist Church.

He took great pride in creating a well-groomed lawn, enjoying a round of golf and his children and grand-children will tell you that he never missed an event they were involved in, regardless of how busy he was or the distance required to attend. Marv also enjoyed capturing photos of family events and trips, with his favorite travel destination being Sanibel Island, Florida, a family tradition since the 1970’s.

Above all, Marv would say that he couldn’t have achieved what he did in life without MaryAnn at his side - a partnership and love that lasted an amazing 68 years.

Marvin is survived by his wife, MaryAnn Debbink; Children - Laurie Kuplic of Sheboygan Falls; Michael (Christine) Debbink of Mequon, Steven Debbink (Greg Plowe) of Douglas, MI; Grandchildren - Elizabeth Alfonsi and Great-Granddaughter, Isabella of Port Washington,  Alex Debbink (Emily Booth) of Chicago, Andrew Debbink (Jessie Lustman) of Chicago;  Siblings - Lenore Debbink, Ruth Debbink, David (Judy) Debbink, Sister-in-Law Gladys Debbink of Sheboygan Falls,  Ann (Wayne) Stubbe of Luck, WI.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marian (Allan) DeBlaey, Wesley Debbink, and Harold (Nancy) Debbink.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to Faith United Methodist Church or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Countryside Manor and Sharon Richardson Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

**A memorial service will be held to celebrate both Marvin and MaryAnn’s lives at Faith United Methodist Church in Sheboygan Falls on Saturday November 19 at 3:00.**
