Patricia Schindel

Patricia Ann Schindel, 88, of Oostburg, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Shores of Sheboygan

Born on July 26, 1934, as Patricia A. Kessler, the daughter of William & Georgia (Larson) Kessler. On June 27, 1955, she married Robert J. Schindel in Oostburg. Patricia was a dedicated wife and mother and later became a nurse and worked at St. Nicholas Hospital for many years.

Patricia enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, camping, and going to the casinos. Above all, she cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She was social, independent, friendly, and had a spice for life.

Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Patsy Wilson of Keller, Texas, and Sandy (Conrad) Theune of Gibbsville; her son, Robert Schindel Jr. of Oostburg; five grandchildren, Kimberly Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, Stephanie (Luke) Heckel, Adam Theune, and Samantha Theune; and a sister-in-law, Linda Kessler. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Schindel; parents; son-in-law, Douglas Wilson; siblings, Kathleen (Ryan) Gasper, William Kessler.

A private graveside service and burial has taken place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Sheboygan where Patricia was laid to rest next to her husband.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of Shores of Sheboygan and Allay Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
