Pearl Outland

Pearl “Arlene” Outland, affectionately known by her family as GGMa, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2022 at Countryside Manor, her home of the last 14 months. She was 92 years old.

Pearl was born June 29, 1929, daughter of Arthur and Pearl A. (Allen) Bale.

For many years, Arlene was an accountant. Her passion was working with children as a foster grandparent at Sheridan Elementary School for over 20 years. She could take children from tears to beaming and believing in themselves by the end of the class.

She loved playing bingo, winning at canasta and making wedding flower arrangements. Her knitted slippers and custom placemats are staples in family homes.

Arlene is survived by her sister Sally Cousino; son and his wife, Robert and Sharon Hall; son John Outland; daughter Kathy Pousho; daughter Karen Welsch; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three children: April Jonas, David Outland and Dale Outland.

Please join the family in celebrating Arlene’s life on Friday afternoon, May 20, 2022 at Wenig Funeral Home, 711 Broadway in Sheboygan Falls. The family will receive visitors from 4:00-6:00 with a funeral service at 6:00PM.
