Robert A. Steinert II, 77, passed away Monday morning, August 2, 2021 at his home in Oostburg surrounded by his family.
Robert was born February 20, 1944 in Oshkosh, the son of Robert and Helen (nee Spanbauer) Steinert. After graduating from South Milwaukee High School, he proudly served his country in the US Army (National Security Agency) from 1962-1965. He went on to study on business, receiving his Bachelors Degree from UW Whitewater and his Masters Degree from Concordia College. He retired from Thomas Industries in Sheboygan.
On April 1, 1967, he was united in marriage with his childhood sweetheart, Cynthia Charney at Zion Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. The couple shared 59 wonderful years together.
For nearly 20 years, the couple lived in Hatfield where the couple owned the 4 in 1 Supper Club and Bob was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Chamber of Commerce. In 1995, Bob and Cindy moved to Oostburg.
A member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, Bob served on the church council and active with the Food Pantry.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cindy and their children: Rob (Brenda) Steinert of Waukesha and Dawn (Don Smith) Steinert of Black River Falls. He is further survived by his grandchildren Faith and Zachary Steinert; sisters-in-law Jayne (Jim) Pavlik of NC and Pat Charney of New Berlin; brother-in-law Bruce (Ann) Charney of Oak Creek; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard Steinert and his sister Barbara Poulos.
A Memorial Service celebrating Robert’s life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2132 N. 27th St. in Sheboygan with full military honors to follow. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Calvary Lutheran Church.
